Common questions
Is 1600m the same as one mile?
No. One mile is 1609.344m. Four laps of a standard track are 1600m, about 9.3m short of a mile.
Is lane 2 also 400m per lap?
No. A full lap from the same finish line is longer in the outer lanes. Use the Track Lane Pace Calculator for lane 1–9 circuit distances, lap times and min/km pace.
Can this calculator choose my training pace?
No. It performs an even-pace conversion; it does not decide whether an interval target suits your fitness or session purpose.
